The Space Apps Challenge is an annual event organised by NASA. It takes place on weekend of 12-13 April 2014. Working with over a hundred organisations in 98 global locations, the event challenges teams to find solutions to problems both here on Earth as well as in Space.
Utilising available data supplied by NASA, contestants are tasked to produce open source solutions themed around,
- Earth Watch
- Human Spaceflight
- Robotics
- Technology in Space
- Asteroids
The best projects from each venue are put forward to be judged at the global final by a NASA panel.
RS is supporting the Met Office at two venues in London and Exeter, and is also part of the judging team at The Dock in Leicester. Why not come along and support the event and see what’s going on? A great opportunity to see Science in action!
